About AnandaMaya Yoga and Tanja Pau
I have been teaching yoga for 10 years and to have my own yoga studio has been a dream come true. I started my yoga journey, with Bruce Masters at Anantam Yoga in PE (one year course) and then started working at Yoga Shala with Alan. I have completed several workshops and been to Goa, India where I spent a month at Shri Kali Ashram. As well as running my own private classes, I have also instructed at Virgin Active.
Having been exposed to a variety of yoga styles and teachers over the years, I have crafted unique yoga classes that draw from these various styles. I would say that my classes are firm yet fair.
My classes incorporate time to rest, breathing deeply, sweating profusely, stretching out stiff muscles, flowing into and out of postures and creating a space of mental stillness, through focus within the body.

Tanja is an excellent teacher and creates a calming, healing space in her classes. She is very thorough and takes time to explain each posture.
I would highly recommend her as a Yoga instructor!
Tanya is careful about ensuring that our poses are “techniquely” correct to avoid injuries, with some of her classes specifically dedicated to ensuring that we are fully aware of correct body positioning. Tanya also takes the time to get to know each person in her class, so that she is aware of our abilities and limitations. She has supported and encouraged me to attempt some of the more advanced poses with the knowledge that I have the appropriate strength to be able to attempt these poses.
